How to clean a ceramic stove top

When your ceramic stove top was new it was shiny and perfect and looked so sleek. Now your kitchen stove top may have black stains and burnt on splatters and spills that just won't come off even when you clean it with a scratch resistand srubby. Here's how our house cleaners get rid of those black stains!

Go to your local hardware store and purchase a scrapper blade from the paint department. It will have a metal or plastic handle with a retractable razor blade. (Maids Gone Green uses the red plastic ones because they don't rust like the metal ones).

Wipe any crumbs and splatters off your stove top with a wet cloth. Now use the scrapper at 45 degree angle to scrape off the burnt stains. Make sure the surface is damp and start at the edge of a stain and work your way across the stain. When your done, polish it up with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth and your stove top will be shiny and perfect again!
